Not a good morning |

I got a call this morning at 0310 from my Uncle letting me know Grandma had had a heart attack and was in the Hospital about to go into surgery. I got in my
truck and headed for the Hospital. I ended up getting my first deer with a vehicle on St. Rd. 2 east of Laporte. It damaged the bumper pretty good, cracked
the housing for the light, and dented the front corner panel on the drivers side. Grandma made it through surgery, she had a 75-80% chance of not making it,
but was recoving at 0700 when I left to get some sleep for work. Not sure of the price for damage to the deer yet but will take it in the next week.

Sorry to hear about your Grandma, she will be in my prayers. Please keep us updated on her condition. Sorry to hear about your truck, those darn deer sure
make big dents.
And that’s
the way it might be………..Until next
time, Tooldummy

I Hope for a speedy recovery for her. My wife hit her first deer a month ago. Dented down the front corner of the hood and exploded the headlight. I ended up
hot gluing the headlight back together and its like brand new. I am glad I got my first one with my trail rig.

Sorry to hear about that Mata. I hope your grandma pulls through fine and gets back on her feet soon. I've been lucky, I've only ever hit one deer
and all I had to replace was the headlight. Every other time I've managed to dodge around em!

Thanks guys. Grandma has made it through so far. She is alert and oriented and talking to everyone. As for the truck, I took it to a place this morning and got
and appraisal, just under $500.

I remember sitting up with my grandma all one night while she was connected up to a respirator. Pretty rough night. But, the next day she was sitting up
smiling and talking. Sometimes those grandmas can't be pretty darn tough. Hope your grandma recovers quickly.
Amazing how much it can cost to fix a small dent. It doesn't take much to rack up $500 worth of damage.
I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts. Ps. 119:45
