I made several out of chicken wire when I was a kid that worked great. Make a box 3x4x2foot deep with a funnel entrance at one end and a small bait holder that hangs inside. put the trap in the water with a few inches of air space in the top and the bait holder in the water. Fill the bait holder with chicken parts or stuff the locker plant don't want. Turtles check in but they don't check out.
