I remember walking through the woods at my ants place in the spring with my brother looking for targets. The law back then on crows stated they can be taken when "depredating or about to depredate trees and crops". Well I just knew that that crow was about to do some depredating! I had my fairly new Marlin 783 22 Mag at the time. That thing would do a number on a crow at 100 yards. They were chasing an owl at the time. Taking that first crow had me hooked for awhile. I once called in an owl with my crow and owl fight tape. They look awsome. I just love scouting a woods in the spring. To bad not much is in season besides groundhogs. My brother and I found a ton of sponge mushrooms by accident going through the woods with rifles in the spring. We were looking for more crows when I looked down at my feet and said "Hey look what I found!"
