I'm with Jack. The only thing that will keep my feet warm on stand for hours is pack boots. That means big rubber boots with a removable thick felt/wool liner. I had a pair of LaCrosse Iceman's that stayed full-length waterproof for probably ten years before they finally wore out. If the liners wore out I would simply replace them. It's hard to find pack boots now at a store you probably have to order them online.
