I think that the sirens work better out west. It seems that the yotes are a little less vocal here in the midwest and east. I have been using distress sounds first lately then maybe giving out a howl or two in the middle. I think that if you howl first, you would probably scare any foxes out of the area. I have had a few occasions where I have rolled down the window of my vehicle, let out a few howls, and gotten a response. But generally, I just set up on stand and start with distress.

It is better to be hated for who you are than to be loved for who you are not...
