My smallbore prone rifle was a Winchester M-52 in a Freeland thumb hole free rifle stock, with a Canjar adjustable hook butt plate, and a cheap Tasco 20x scope in pedistal mounts. The scope was picked for the large 40mm lens to give me more light.
A 12 pound single shot .22.
A good match grade rifle and sights will start around a grand easy.
