Last year I got a heck of a deal on a Remington 700 ADL synthetic in .223 so of course I jumped on it. I'd never shot a bolt gun in this caliber and when I did I just loved the way this rifle shot. Not alot of recoil, and accurate as could be. The trouble with this rifle was that it's rather homely by my standards. Black on black is just more than I can take for very long. I like polished blue steel and wood so I got to looking for a Remington 700 Classic in .223 to replace the ADL. I'd seen classics in about every caliber it ever came out in, but never in .223. I even passed on a new one in .221 Fireball on clearence at Gander Mountain for the low price of $425.00 a couple of months ago.
I got to looking around the other day on Guns America and darned if I didn't find a Remington 700 classic in .223 advertised. Well I just couldn't keep from buying it.
It should arrive at my FFL dealers place by the first of next week, and I just can't wait to see it. I just hope that it shoots as good as my ADL. If it does..I'll see you guys in February.
Good hunting y'all..Coyote 6974
