Well, we are currently in the forecast zone of 8-15 inches here in Old Town, ME. So far it has been snowing non stop fairly heavily since about 900am. I
think we will only wind up with about 6 or so, but if it continues to go through the night that's a real possibility.
My cousin and I were supposed to be going out today, but needless to say we didn't venture past our doorways. From what I understand, no one has really seen or killed anything up here for quite some time. My trapping partner has a baitpile on his land that he usually shoots 15-20 off of every winter, but he hasn't even seen one yet (just one lonely red fox, which closed this weekend).
Just wondering if anyone has any ideas where they might be. I figured that they would be using the logging roads that stay pretty clean to travel, and they'd be hounding the deer yards pretty hard. I intend to call soon, since I haven't for a while. Even if we get the full 15 inches, I suppose it would be nice to take an "armed walk" just to get out...
